ABOUT TRANSPART INCORPORATED
From its humble beginnings, a team of dedicated professionals have earned A bit of history Transpart Distributors was formed in 1971 and commenced as a Truck Parts marketing firm, servicing the Brant County area. In June of 1972, the business was incorporated by the two shareholders, Marvin Long and Ray Mercer. By November of 1972, Transpart Incorporated acquired the assets of Brantford Spring Service and continued to operate out of the 138 Gilkinson Street location in Brantford. In June of 1976, Brantford Spring Service moved to a new location at 581 West Street, which was designed specifically for suspension sales and services.
Van body manufacturing was the next endeavour and in November of 1992, the first "Carrier Truck Body" was built. By January 1995, over thirty bodies had been built and sold. "The Spring Shop" in Brantford moved again in June 1994. It's new location was in the Carrier Truck Center's building a 6 Edmondson Street. In March of 1995, the assets of "The Spring Shops" (Brantford and Woodstock) were sold to Carrier Truck Center Incorporated which is our sister company. The end of one era ... the dawn of a new one. Today, Transpart Incorporated is a busy facility that employs a group of highly skilled professionals providing a complete service to the trucking industry. From truck body design and manufacture to trailer sales, parts, maintenance, hydraulics, air conditioning and much more, Transpart Incorporated is a place that customers have come to depend on for quality, service and fair pricing.
